The Benefits

There is now a large amount of research going into how meditation and its advantages in business, it is being used to counter the effects of having shorter attention spans – it is helping employees with information overload in today’s technological age. Most people are suffering from unprecedented levels of stress and exhaustion and just being overwhelmed. Meditation is going mainstream, and it looks like it is here to stay.

The amount of people now indicating that job stress is the major factor in their life has doubled. Stress related illnesses caused by work-related physical and mental issues cost’s businesses in Australia more than $10.11 billion a year (Medibank).
​
All over the world, companies and not just the usual ones like Google and Apple. According to the Harvard Business Review – mindfulness is no longer a luxury for business leaders it’s a “must have”. The neuroscience research that is currently being done is showing how practicing mindfulness meditation is having a direct effect on the brain areas related to perception, body awareness, emotions, complex thinking and sense of self.
The Program
​
The program I am offering centres around building emotional intelligence through meditation to enable people to work at their peak performance, being present in the moment. Skills that will help improve focus, clarity, compassion and creativity. The sessions are for Leaders - Teams or Individuals at all levels.
​
I can also run workshops, on mindfulness and it’s benefits in the workplace which can also be tailored towards the corporate objectives.
There are two types of meditation
​
Concentration Technique - which is concentrating on the breath and monitoring the thought process.
Contemplative Technique (Vedic Meditation) - where each employee will be given an individualised mantra which causes the mind to transcend for 20minutes leading to a place of inner contentedness and a calmness.
Vedic Meditation is a powerful tool, it’s actually taking us to a place that we already know exists, but we have forgotten how to access it.
Vedic Meditation really works on putting the body into a deep state of rest and helps eliminate the build-up of stress in the body, which helps with fatigue, and other stress related illnesses.
Employees will be functioning at their highest level, if they have this practice of 20mins twice a day. Once in the morning before work and again in the afternoon anytime after lunch (1 hour away from food)
If the leaders of a company do the course first, I usually find they want to pass it onto their employees.
The courses I have run as executive off-sites have been very beneficial and really give a good grounding into how it all works.

I offer two different types of corporate meditation:

1. One-off "Introduction to Meditation" Course. This can be done as part of an offsite or done in an office

Participants will be eligible to a discount on the four day Meditation course (4x90min sessions, described below).

2. The Four Day Course - Vedic Meditation
​
This four day (4x90min) course is all anyone will ever need. It will give you a technique which you can use for the rest of your life and gives you access to a lifetime of follow up with me or any teacher of Vedic Meditiaton worldwide. This course consists of:-
​
Day 1
Introduction to Meditation and it’s benefits and what to expect over the rest of the course.
Each member will be given a personal mantra (sound) and will be guided into meditation allowing them to experience deep relaxation and a technique they can use now and every day for the rest of their lives.
Day 2
The participants will be given all the information required to successfully meditate including the ways in which to incorporate this into your work life and home life.
Plus we will meditate together as a group followed by Q+A
​
Day 3
Today the participants will go through how to integrate this practice into their lives with real examples. Understanding that this is a "practice". We go through the benefits and dispel any myths surrounding meditation.
Plus we will meditate together as a group followed by Q+A
​
Day 4
Day 4 will be about how to use this technique to improve performance and how to use meditation as a tactic in life - how it helps with illness /Jet Lag/ and overall well being.
Plus a group meditation, Q+A and information on follow-up.

Once the team have learned the technique, we can schedule regular follow-ups depending on what your company would like.
